Fare well, little Britain

t
The European Union, though it maybe never existed, has come to an end after the latest crisis summit last night. Welcome to the Union of Continental Europe and Britain.

These island-people never really wanted to be a part of an integrated federation. They, or at least their governments, are the selfish, snobby little kid in class, that hates all the other kids, because it knows it´s best.
They never understood the idea of European integration. For them it is more a free-trading-agreement with benefits. It´s a proud people over there, on this ghastly island. A people driven by the spirit of Kings, Emperors, World-Rulers and World-War-successors.

Continental Europe hence has its own culture - smitten by centuries of conflicts and three barbaric wars. The very heart of the European Union was to bring the people, economies and states so close together, that there will be no more war. We have no island to chicken out.

But, and here´s the point, the great Britain is screwed – without Europe. The world is not what it used to be 60 years ago: Europe, the U.S. and some oversea dominions. It became bigger - globalized. Britain today is just one state amongst others. Period. Its business model is the City of London (approximately 12 % of British GDP). Its health care system is in bad condition, so is its government debt.

They need us. And we need them. It’s a European family. One has not to love its brothers and sisters all the time. But one knows – deep down – that this family belongs together.
David Cameron, riding the crest of a big anti-European, anti-German wave just pulled out, because he wouldn´t get his right to veto against taxes on financial transactions. That´s politics, stupid!

In a herd, if one of the horses doesn´t behave, the lead-mare sends it away. Still in sight of the herd, but no part of it. It´s sent away as long as it takes for the horse to realize, that it needs his herd to survive. There is no pressure - just exclusion and realization.

No one likes us! No one likes us! No one likes us, we don´t care!
We are Britain, super Britain! We are Britain, from that isle!
