Long term
During my last spring-break I worked over the weeks for a museum, doing public relations and stuff. I spent my weekends at home, petting my cat, cleaning up my flatmate´s mess, building in a new kitchen, went back to work, coming home, paint the kitchen, went back to work, home: painting the hall and the restroom. (Took me ages to paint the small outlines!) Back to work - home. Don´t like the colour: paint the hall again. Work - home: redecorating my room. Look at the pics below, these square "things" is what I attached to the walls instead of "real" art. When I´m famous it´s worth millions. Not a lazy day in almost two months.
Besides that, I lost my moral integrity. But hey, never mind.
First break...when my 263rd semester began. Hmm, but then, I had to study, doing still PR-stuff for the museum and – parallel – had the opportunity to work for the super villain in the area of pharmaceutics.
Short term
Hmmm, super villain… oh! Right! The final weeks before deadline were, as always, pretty exhausting. Keeps me focussed.
End of July I had to spend some days in the fourth-most-popular-almost-becoming-capital-of-the-world-despite-of-being-ruled-by-a-mustached-dictator-city (Berlin), presenting our re-launched staff-magazine. Hey, the public transportation system up there is seriously fucked up! The bright side is, the Turkish taxi drivers showed me some real nice corners of Berlin (yeah I know, quite the opposite of my intended: “Please, take the direct way.”). Instead of having fun and hating my coworkers, I spent hours synchronizing our laptops (installing new system software and fun like that). So, in the end, I saw only my room, spent some pretty constructive hours at Pfizer, spread some business cards. No clubbing at all, which I regret most.
My sister returned from the U.S. We got even more back of her, than we sent over there. Approximately 30 pounds.
Mone is moving to Jena, to continue her studies there. So, we´re in need of a new flatmate, or like two French girls I met, would phrase it “Wohnfreund”. We tried to get rid of some stuff in our storage room. Funny, seeing six pc monitors in Basti´s car.
Oh look! Engineers – the oompah-loompahs of science!
