Then my semester started, and I worked from my desk in L.E., except some weekends…
May was hell. Studying, museum, Pfizer, cat: lots of work.
After three weeks, I was almost finished, so I could take a break – celebrating “Männertag”. First we had a cool, smooth and (almost) sober biketrip, later some beef filets for dinner and Siedler von “och nöö! der hat schon wieder gewonnen!” – Catan in combination with some drinks till 6 in the morning (because of the game, not the drinking).
I spent my next days working on the layout, eating (my father cooking), drinking vine. The final editing took much longer than I thought. I was pretty stressed. Most of my work was done, but some figures, photos, charts, etc. were still missing, not the best legwork, a lack of coordination. I told my principals what to do, and collected what they could find.
For example: Wednesday, I stayed in my office from 7 to 21.30, when my parents came, to take me home. Instead home I went to a mate, having a look on the layout. When I came home, I had to proof-read till 2.00.
Thursday from 7 to 7: it took me TWO (!!!!) hours to save my final-edition as a pdf. Due to in our office there are 4 PCs with 4 different editions of MS Office – different fonts, ... And none of them, could save data as pdf. None of the museums´s staff has administrative access! So the cities´ admin hat to come.
The printer took overtime hours, waiting for me.
Friday I overslept. I almost missed my date to hand over the papers.
I like the stressful mess in the end – keeps me working. Makes me working most effective. But it´s not pretty healthy. Wednesday and Thursday, I just had some (meanwhile cold) soup.. My day started with espresso – . . I was tired all the time, but still can´t sleep in the nights. I love it.
My Whitsun weekend I spent at Matze´s, to calm down. I mean, I tried to calm down. Went out every night – but Max always wakes up around six. Man, I adored my afternoon nap.
Arrived back in L.E. today. Nobody is at home. My first sober day in two weeks. My plans for tomorrow are: waking up around ten, build new wheel for my dual bike and go to bed. I need to cut back.
